Bressor
I am descended from Joseph and Angelina Bressor.  Their son, Arthur Joseph Bressor, was my grandfather.  Their daughter, Alice, died at age 19 or 20 and was buried in the "New Catholic Cemetery".  While visiting Richmond many years ago, I stumbled upon an old cemetery outside of town by the name of "St Mary's".  Is this the same cemetery?  Is there any way to find do:censored:entation on where my Aunt Alice Bressor is buried and when?  Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for using our website, I had the oppportunity to do some research yesterday, here s what I found out. First of all, I recently found out that the Old Roman Catholic Cemetery is also St. Marys Cemetary which is just outside of town, so perhaps your assumption is kind of correct!. There is no New Catholic Cemetary to my knowledge.

You should also know that due to a safe fire in 1908 our birth/death/and marriage records prior to the mid 1800s are sporadic and sometimes incomplete. With that said I researched all the names you mentioned: Joseph and Angeline Bressor, Arthur Bressor, and Alice Bressor. The only reference I found to Arthur Bressor was a headstone in Holy Rosary Cemetary, where all the Bressor ancestors who are recorded in Richmond are buried. The headstone had Arthurs birthdate as Feb. 7, 1896 but the death date was never carved, this same headstone had his wife, Florence Olmstead born 9/11/1897 died 4/6/1921. I found no reference to Joseph, Angeline or Alice.

I am unsure if this is your Arthur. It is possible that he remarried or relocated and passed away and was buried in another location outside of Richmond. I also researched all the available records for births of Alice between 1910 and 1940 but also found no reference. If you have any more information or dates I could do some more researching to see if I could find something else out, Let me know.
