2008 Spring Program
Tour of the Andrews Farm Barn
Sunday, May 4 at 2:00 pm at the Andrews Farm
(1147 East Main - on US 2 about 1 mile east of Richmond village)
For nearly 90 years the Andrews family has lived and farmed in the Winooski Valley just east of Richmond Village, on a historic farmstead that dates back to 1813. Over the years the farm's U-shaped barn has become a storage site for many now-obsolete artifacts. A pig scalding pot, a wooden cooler and antique sleighs and buggies are just some of the items to be found in the barn. Everett Andrews and his daughter Jennifer Gilligan will guide us through their family barn and talk about these relics of a bygone era.
This event is free and open to the public.
